Our initial concerns were Derek's sensory seeking: crashing, spinning, climbing, crawling. Auditory: listening, easily distracted. Emotional regulation: long time to calm down. Impulsiveness vs planning skills.

It now takes less time for Derek to calm himself. He has more body awareness (not spinning, crashing, or chewing on clothes). Academically he went from D's and F's to all B's.

The therapy services really produce results. The staff is consistently positive, helpful with the sensory diet and helped with scheduling. A fun place for your child!

Services Used: Evaluation process, Intensives, Wilbarger Protocol*, Sound program, Music Therapy***, Jin Shin**, Craniosacral Therapy, BBI group or individual****, Summer Camp****.
*Wilbarger Protocol was a challenge but with consistency it produced results. Derek stopped pulling shirt over body and biting his shirt.
**Slept better with Jin Shin.
***Music Therapy was very fun.
****Summer Camp and BBI helped Derek with social skills, self awareness and balanced emotions. Derek loved Summer Camp!

Alex had no safety awareness, he was constantly making unsafe choices. Alex was running on high all the time. He was not able to focus and would act out or shutdown when he became overwhelmed. I came to Unique Prints hoping they might help my son and give the family some coping skills.

Alex has done a 180º turn from when we started. He understands himself more and why he needs to do a sensory diet. He's more aware of his surroundings and what it means to play safely. Most of our goals have been met and we are constantly creating and working on new ones.

Unique Prints has been my life savior. Just as my child has received therapeutic services, I have received support from the staff and other families that I have met in the waiting room. It's good to know that others can share in your joys and frustration. Unique Prints has helped put the fun back in our family.

*Alex would look forward to his intensive sessions, to him this was play time!
**The Wilbarger process was alot of work but well worth it. The time spent together brushing and doing joint compression bonded us even more as mother and son.
***Through Music Therapy, Alex is able to organize, remember and focus more.

We came to Unique Prints to help Aidan with his fine motor skills, sensory issues (defensiveness, transitions, running off in stores, sensitivity to light and touch).

Aidan does much better with his sensory issues.  He handles new environments and experiences very well.  He does not get defensive or run off anymore.  He is getting stronger and is doing better with his fine motor skills.

I have liked the services at Unique Prints, I think they have helped Aidan.  He really responds to work in the gym to help teach his body how to move.  We have seen real progress with Aidan since coming to Unique prints.

Services used: Evaluation Process, Intensives, Wilbarger Protocol*, Sound Program, Music Therapy**, Jin Shin, Craniosacral Therapy.
*The Wilbarger Protocol worked well to help Aidan with his sensory defensiveness and being focused on outings.
**Aidan also responds very positively to the Music Therapy.

Our initial concerns were sensitivity to loud noises, inappropriate responses, and bm's not in toilet. Next we started working on unusually very frustrated, crying/whining for almost everything, not processing questions (have to repeat).

Jackson has made so much progress! His speech has improved significantly. Jackson has no problem or issues with the restroom. His attention in school is excellent. He answers questions appropriately and in sentences. We have helped him become more comforable with sudden loud noises. Unique Prints helped us navigate all the options to create a plan specific to Jackson's needs.

This place is special. Jackson's best interest is always the focus. I have also appreciated how you teach us to continue therapeutic activities at home. I have learned so much here on how to be a better parent to Jackson. Of course his progress is a testament to what a great place this is!

With Autism there are many concerns including fine & gross motor delay, and sensory processing issues. I was intrigued by the integration of different therapies/philosophies to address Will's challenges.

We've been coming to Unique Prints for 1.5 years we've seen William progress through many, many goals including: responding to his name, coordination improvement on many levels, language has increased dramatically, his overall reaction to sensory stimuli is more regulated.

I couldn't be more pleased. I feel there are many options for aiding children in their journeys to be their very best. At Unique Prints, these options can be explored. I appreciate the reasonable approach. '1 step at a time', through combinations and timing there is genuine care and concern for each child as individuals. Great education in taking the therapy with you to utilize while out in the child's environment.

In Kindergarten, our son's teacher approached us to tell us about her concerns that Joe had Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD). We didn't know what to expect but were finally relieved to learn that some of his developmental delays were rooted in SPD and could be helped.

Thanks to the therapy our kids have had at Unique Prints our oldest son can now ride a bicycle and loves to climb and try new things. His confidence has grown and he's much happier and relaxed. Our youngest has made huge improvements in fine motor and speech. Parenting them is so much easier now.

I tell everyone I can about the colossal impact Unique Prints has made in our lives. We can do things with our children now that a year ago we thought we'd never be able to do. And, the best part is that our boys LOVE coming here. It's been a win-win situation!

*The Wilbarger Protocol was amazing. It worked wonders for our kid's. It was an intense 90 days, but we could not believe how it changed our boy's. They made huge strides in fine motor, speech, and self-regulation and their teacher's were amazed.

Initially my son was diagnosed with Sensory Integration issues. He was having difficulties with school and play dates.

The primary goal of helping my son deal with his sensory issues seem to have been met. He still needs 'Tune Up's' but he now has a toolbox from which we can take different methods to deal with different situations.

We are pleased that we can come to one source for the myriad of needs our son seems to require. We have gone from the intensive early days of the evaluation and intensive OT sessions and Wilbarger days to BBI sessions which help round out the whole person. It is difficult to know where my son would be without Unique Prints and it's services, but we feel that he is a happier, more well adjusted person because of Unique Prints.

Tyler struggled in classrooms and at home with appropriate behavior, volume, self-control, and temper issues.

Tyler benefited from all of the suggested therapies. He is calm and focused in the classroom and participates productively in sports, groups (large & small) and is developing much deeper connections with people. Kristy and the staff have guided us through the various therapies and all have helped Tyler progress.

We have felt genuinely respected and all of the staff has been concerned about Tyler's success. The therapists have enjoyed working with Tyler and their care has been evident throughout the process. Unique Prints is a 'safe place' for Tyler and he really enjoys coming!

“I have been to so many different therapists and so many different doctors. When I came to Unique Prints, I found a well-educated staff that truly understands my daughter and sensory integration dysfunction. Once you educated me about Jeni’s (age 7) needs, I was able to stop worrying about what was happening to her and what I might be doing wrong. I am so happy I found you guys”.

- Debbie Nelson, Parker

“The staff at Unique Prints helped me to isolate the problems in my son’s life and seek solutions. The results of their evaluations helped me to negotiate for better services in the school. Unique Prints has helped Cameron (age 13) feel normal in a world that often feels very aggressive and cold. Unique Prints has been a haven not only for Cameron, but also for our entire family. Thank you for all your help”.

- Ingrid Warden, Golden

“Many thanks to Unique Prints for the fantastic fine motor work with both my son, Scott (age 10) and my daughter, Jackie (age 6). Scott’s writing has progressed from illegible to beautiful cursive and he is the only student in his class who is not assigned cursive this year!”.

- Dawn Bedrosian, Denver

“We are an out-of-state family who came to Unique Prints seeking treatment for our son, Cort (age 8). I must admit that the early stages of the program were a bit overwhelming but we did everything that was recommended and it was well worth it!! UPPTS staff have been extremely helpful and supportive through telephone consultations and/or email. They always send us home with ideas and resources to help us help our son at home".

- Marcia Huffman, Allen, Kansas

“Our son’s behavior (Rapheal, age 6) problems have reduced tremendously after using social stories and other speech/language and occupational therapy tools at Unique Prints. The staff has been very dedicated to helping our son”.

- Karen and Juan Fernandez, Aurora

“What a difference the Sensory Defensive Protocol made for our daughter Carly (age 5)! After finishing the protocol, she swings and slides on playground equipment and she actually is able to put her face in the swimming pool and swim. She also is much calmer and more focused!”.

- MaryBeth and Jonathan Griffis, Englewood

"The ‘How Does Your Engine Run?’ Alert Program was so useful for my son Tanner. He now is able to use the information he learned to regulate his own alert level when he is at school or home. The Engine program would be very beneficial for all children”.
